Special Skiing and Race Offerings

We provide accomodation for large groups of runners (max 30) for the Rhodes Trail Marathon in July and the Rhodes Extreme MTB Stage Race. We also offer package deals where we will transport groups of runners or cyclists for these events and provide full accomodation and meals as required. Contact Roger Browne for more details regarding these offerings.

Skiing is available at Tiffindell from June to August every year and is 12 km from the farm. We arrange bookings with Tiffindell as well as transport guests to the ski resort, if required.Despite problems, we are told Tiffindell will be operational this year.

The accommodation is comfortable & relaxed, focusing on old-fashioned farm style living and can accommodate groups of between 10 & 20 people. We recently added a games room where guests can watch TV play table tennis, foose ball or simply meet other people staying at the farm “The Hobbit” in Rhodes can take smaller groups of 4 to 8 people. Both are serviced, self catering and electrified. Unfortunately we do not cater for pets.

The Stables : (Self contained: 2 bedrooms. 1 large bedroom leading into the living area  with microwave, fridge/freezer, washing and cooking facilities. Separate bedroom (own entrance) with hand basin. Separate bathroom with shower, hand basin and loo.

Maximum capacity for the Farm is 22 Adults + 4 Children. Children may replace adults, but daybeds are not really suitable for adults to sleep on

2010 Rates

Farm House: R250-00 per person per night

Cobblers : R350-00 per person per night

Stables: R250-00 per person per night

Barn: R300-00 per person per night

Rhodes Village

The Hobbit : R250-00 per person per night

Children 12 and under are R120-00

Additional services on offer

· Washing and ironing R50.00 per load

· Cooking R50.00 per day

· Breakfast R45.00 per person

A 20% deposit is required to secure a booking at least a month in advance - especially during peak times such as the Rhodes Trail Marathon and Extreme Bile Challenges.

Confirmed bookings are payable in full at least 10 working days before the booked commencement date. If full payment is not made within the specified time period, the booking is not guaranteed and deposit could be forfeited. Electronic Payments are welcome.

A 20 % discount will be given for any additional days booked - if more that 3 consecutive days are booked with us at a specific place.
